The Colorado State University Research Foundation (CSURF) Equipment Financing Program was developed in the late 1970’s to support Colorado State University departments with acquiring high-dollar equipment that is often impossible for the University to purchase outright. The program was expanded in 1988 to include Colorado State University – Pueblo. The program has supplied millions of dollars of much needed equipment to the Universities, and continues to be a resource and partner to this day.
The Equipment Financing Program is administered by CSURF in cooperation with leadership at each CSU campus, specifically the Vice President for University Operations and Vice President for Research at CSU-Fort Collins, and the Vice President for Finance and Planning at CSU-Pueblo.
The Equipment Financing Program supports University faculty and staff in meeting their oftentimes desperate and immediate need for adequate equipment that is constrained by the inability to directly purchase a piece of equipment outright. Through the financing program, a department may acquire equipment and pay for it over a period of years, after securing the appropriate administrative approvals.
